Although Sugar Plums aren't actually plums, this roasted plum with goat cheese & sea salt recipe got us wondering what sugar plums actually are!?
Sugar Plums are a sugar candy, with no plums involved at all, but they are round and tasty!
To get that vibe, without the sugar or the candy, here's a quick recipe:
2-4 fresh plums, washed and dried
1 tsp SalterieOne Classic Sea Salt
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp crumbled goat cheese
2 tbsp honey, locally-sourced if possible
Slice plums in half and discard the pits. Sprinkle SalterieOne Classic Sea Salt onto the exposed flesh of the peach halves.
In a large fry pan, melt butter over medium heat. Place plums face down in melted butter and cook for 4-8 minutes, until brown. Turn right side up and toss with goat cheese.
Remove plums from pan and place onto a serving platter. Drizzle with honey & season with SalterieOne Classic Sea Salt to taste!
